Jamie Young receiving award from Anne Williams  

The Betty Williams Award to the person making a significant achievement during the year:>  this went to Jamie Young who has made a great success of his paid job working on the fruit and vegetable counter at the Co-op supermarket in Amesbury.

The second Betty Williams Award to the organisation making a contribution to the quality of life for people went to

Riding for The Disabled Wilton Branch for their wonderful work. The award was presented by Betty’s daughter Anne and accepted for RDA by Carol Carvell.

Tom and Kate Brown receiving the Lady Gilbert award from Rosemary Read  

And the Lady Gilbert Award to the Carer of the Year, presented by Mrs Rosemary Read,in the sad absence of Lady Gilbert due to ill health, went to Mr and Mrs Tom and Kate Brown for their devoted care of their son James.

 
The formal meeting finished with the cutting of the cake to mark the 50th anniversary by Dr John Bartlett, past chairman of South Wilts Mencap and Chairman of the Directors of the Shop.
