News about Breakaway

We have had some great holidays this year with the weather being much kinder to us than in general. First of all a large group went off to Butlins at Minehead which always caters for everyone’s tastes. We have just returned from a week at Burnham-on-Sea where we stayed in two Scout Association Mobile homes. These are fully equipped to support any form of disability so wheelchairs were no problem at all. But there is more to come: a group is travelling to Spain very shortly followed by a trip to Turkey. All the Breakaway trips were fully sold out very shortly after being released.

A very big thank you to every one who supports Breakaway and makes the project the success it is, whether it is the Shop volunteers who provide the money, the SW Mencap Committee that supports us, the Breakaway Committee that plans the programme or the staff – paid and volunteer who work so hard. Happy holidays to you all whether you are travelling with Breakaway or have sorted out your own breaks
