Our 50th Anniversary Dinner
Dance:
Our 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance took place on 17th October
2009 at 6.30pm until midnight at the Guildhall in Salisbury. It was a great
occasion with the ladies dressed in their ball gowns and the men in their
dinner jackets and black ties. Some guests even
arrived in a stretch limmo!!!
The evening commenced with some drinks from the bar and then we were all
invited to take our seats at the tables and enjoy the meal during which
music was played. The meal was really great with lovely food. Afterwards the
raffle was drawn for which there were 36 prizes and which raised over £600
for South Wilts Mencap.
Then the Middle Wallop Army Dance Band took over and played music for us all
to dance to. A great time was had by everyone. Sadly all good things come to
an end and at midnight we had to go home.
We would like to thank the Middle Wallop Army Dance Band for a fantastic
time. Also we would like to thank the caterers who worked so hard during the meal
and afterwards and finally we would like to thank Faith Walker and Margaret
Strange and their team of helpers for making it all happen. Also thank you
to the staff at the Guildhall for all their help.
It was a great night and one which we shall all remember. Here are a few
photos of the evening:
