The Salisbury Learning Disability Development Group:

The LDDG meetings are for service users, organisations carers, professionals who are concerned about the needs of people with learning disabilities in South Wiltshire.

At the special meeting at the Arts Centre in February there was a long discussion on how the group is working and what changes should be made. There was general agreement that we needed to put more resources into making sure that people with learning disabilities themselves were able to have their views known.

The next ordinary meeting of the Group is on Wednesday March 10th in the usual venue of The Methodist Church in St Edmunds Church Street.

Avril Mendel from the Dept of Community Services at County Hall has asked that we let all family carers know that they can claim expenses for attending the Salisbury Partnership Board meetings from Carers Support North Wilts. Phone Jane at Wessex Community Action on 01722 421747for more details.
