NEW POST IN THE PRIMARY CARE TRUST:

We are delighted to hear of the creation of a new post of Commissioning Manager for Learning Disabilities in the Wiltshire Primary Care Trust and the appointment of Emily Lewis to the post.

She is the Wiltshire NHS PCT's first ever and her open discussion at the last Learning Disabilities Partnership Board meeting was titled 'Supporting good health for people with a learning disability'. Full details of the report given by Emily to the Partnership Board are available under the "Partnership Board" section of this website (March). She seemed very keen to make a difference and is fully aware of the large number of issues which still need to be addressed in a consistent and effective manner.
