A summer concert:
Our friends at the St John’s singers who have raised a lot of money for
South Wilts Mencap in the past have asked us to tell you about their summer
concert. This takes place on Saturday 3rd July at St Martin’s Church,
Salisbury, featuring works by three contemporary British composers starting
with selected motets from Bob Chilcott’s Salisbury Vespers, a charming work,
“Benedicite” by Andrew Carter, featuring a children’s choir, and Howard
Goodall’s “Eternal Light: A Requiem”. For this concert, the St John Singers
will be joined by the Salisbury Cathedral Junior Choir. Tickets are £10 each
and can be obtained from Musicroom, 5 Catherine Street, Salisbury (01722
328181) or at the door.
