DANCING
ON WHEELS:
A brilliant dance company called StopGAP appeared at Salisbury Arts Centre on Tuesday May 19th.
It is a top dance company with 5 performers with and without
disabilities. Dancer Laura uses a wheelchair (like the TV ads) and
Chris has a learning disability (He has won an award from Mencap,
likes to say he has Downs Syndrome and has a full-time job).
StopGAP will performed a show full of high-energy dance. The music includes tango,
funky beats and even Spanish flamenco music. You do not need to have ever seen any dance to find this an exciting
night out. The evening is made up of short pieces of dance and runs
for an hour.
The show started at 8 pm and ended at 9 and
there was a post-show chat with the dancers for those who would like to stay.
