About Us:
South Wilts Mencap is an independent local charity based in Salisbury and affiliated to the Royal Mencap Society. We are dedicated to the service of people with learning disability and their families living in South Wiltshire.

We see our major role as lobbying and campaigning for changes in attitudes and service provision to enable people with learning disabilities to ‘make the most of life.’

We also provide some services to enhance the lives of local people with learning disabilities, often working in partnership with others.

South Wilts Mencap services include:
Outreach support – offering information and advice to families.
Grants – to individuals and to pump prime developments.
Caravan – for very low cost holidays.
Minibus – which may be booked by local organisations serving people with learning disabilities.
Newsletter - and directory of all local services.
New Horizon Gateway Club – opportunities for socialising and fun.
Holidays and Leisure Group – lively programme of outings and holidays.
