Mencap Supported Living Team for South Wilts:

The supported living team office in Salisbury currently covers both the Salisbury and Amesbury areas providing accommodation and support for people with learning disabilities. The team consists of a supported living Manager and three team leaders. Current accommodation provided includes Threeways House, Glenmore Flats and Milton Road in Salisbury and Jaggard View in Amesbury.

We work within an ethos of person centred approach and ensure we adhere to Mencap vision for change which primarily includes quality services, promoting equality and independence, diminishing prejudices and focusing on individuality.

We also provide support hours to tenants in the community living within their own alternative accommodation. The Salisbury office is also now registered under the CSCI Domicillary standards enabling us to provide more diverse support including personal support needs.

Staff are trained within a twelve week induction programme which includes health & safety, first aid, manual handling, fire safety, abuse awareness and communication. Mencap offers NVQs to both level 2/3 for support staff.
