Wiltshire Council day support services:
Wiltshire Council provides two centre-based Day Support services in South Wiltshire, in Salisbury and Amesbury. They are part of the Department of Community Services.
At Sarum and Amesbury Community Resource Centres we aim to:
●Respect service user’s rights as individuals and encourage independence.
●Give support to service users to enable them to live as normal a life as possible.
●Respect service users’ own beliefs and cultural identity.
●Give service users the opportunity to make choices and have power over their own lives.
●Provide opportunities for integration with the community.
●Provide services in response to the advocated needs of service users, parents and carers.
●Broaden service user’s horizons by using facilities in the local community.
●To provide a community resource for people with learning disabilities.
●To provide a place of safety for individuals and/or respite for carers.
The aims of our centres link with the four main aims of the Valuing People White Paper:
RIGHTS – CHOICE – INCLUSION - INDEPENDENCE
