South Wilts Mencap: Join the SWM team

Join our team.

South Wilts Mencap (SWM) supports people with learning disabilities; inspiring them to achieve their full potential and enabling them and their families to lead fuller lives.  Our team is made up of around 80 people, some volunteers, some self-employed part timers but all with a single purpose.

With the exception of Shop volunteers, it is necessary to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance for all members of our team.  We reserve the right to request references.

We are always keen to welcome volunteers to our team.  From helping out at Fun Days and Discos to sparing a few hours a week working in the Mencap shop, we are always delighted to hear how you may be able to help.

This a voluntary role to provide support South Wilts Mencap on an ad-hoc basis.

Ability Bikes Club Coordinator

Do you love all things bike related?

In 2017, we launched an ability bikes club with Wiltshire Council that has proved enormously popular with all ages and abilities. The range of bikes will be increased in 2018 and SWM will take on the fulltime running of the club. South Wilts Mencap are looking for a bike enthusiast to help us with this exciting project. This role is a voluntary job to help with our weekly club during term time. To learn more about our ability bikes club, click here.
