Everybody Sing Workshop May 2017

Everybody Sing is a Swindon based singing group delivered by professional vocal coaches for children and young people aged 8-25 years who have additional needs. They have been running successful groups in the Swindon area and have now branched out across Wiltshire.

Saturday 27 May Thursday 1 June 10.00am – 12.00pm. The Bourne Centre, Southampton Road, Salisbury SP1 2NY

The Salisbury Session will follow the theme of “Charlie and the Chocolate factory” and include songs from the musical, acting and dancing opportunities and decorating your own chocolate to take home!

Sessions cost £8.00. Parent carers can stay and younger siblings can be included too.

Early Birds at The Science Museum

Early Birds enables families with children who have an Autism Spectrum Condition to come along and enjoy the Science Museum free from the hustle and bustle of the general public.

Taking place on selected Saturdays across the year, we open the Museum early at 8.30am, and some of our interactive galleries remain available exclusively to booked Early Birds guests until 11.15am. As well as exploring some of the galleries you can enjoy a selection of fun workshops and exciting demonstrations.

All of these events are completely free and suitable for families with children under the age of 15.

The next Early Birds will take place on 10 June 2017. Booking will open at 10am on Friday 30 December 2016. Places are limited so you do need to book. Call on 020 7942 4000 – we’ll take your details and send an email confirming your Early Birds places. The booking line is open from 8.30am—6pm, seven days a week.

Successful Street Collection in Salisbury

44 volunteers collected £1,065

Thanks to everyone who helped on Saturday.  £1,065 is an incredible amount of money that will be used to do a lot of good.

There is a list of who collected what below.  The individual amounts do not matter however, as these related to where collectors were placed and how long they were there.  Collectors who stood by Lloyds Bank did really well!

Millfield Day 2017

Millfield school in Somerset hold an annual fun day for people with a learning disability in the excellent facilities on the school grounds. The whole school is involved with the event, with the school’s pupils acting as guides on the day.

The event has been running for over twenty years and is packed full with a variety of activities with something to suit everyone, including drama, tennis, cooking, art and crafts. Over 700 people regularly attend this fantastic annual event.

Activities and lunch are all included for £1 per person.

Introduction to Course Fishing

Splash are running an introductory session to course fishing. Working together you’ll learn some basic fishing techniques and try your hand at fishing.

The session is FREE for young people aged 9 to 16 years of age.

Course fishing will take place on Thursday 1 June at Witherington Farm, Salisbury from 11am to 3pm.
