South Wilts Mencap’s New Horizon Club offers engaging social experiences for adults aged 30 and over—creating space to connect, unwind, and enjoy meaningful activities together.
The New Horizon Club provides an engaging social environment specifically for adults aged 30 and over. It’s an ideal place to meet friends, participate in enjoyable activities, and stay connected within a welcoming community.
Typical activities include bowling evenings at Outburst, creative arts and crafts sessions, seasonal celebrations such as Halloween and Christmas, Â community outings, and various social gatherings that foster friendship and interaction and a chance to relax and connect making wonderful memories.
Every first and third Friday, New Horizon Club comes alive with laughter, creativity, and connection. It’s a place where adults aged 30+ can feel at home, try new things, and share good times with friends old and new. Here, every activity is an opportunity to grow in confidence, express yourself, and make memories that last.

You need to be a member and aged 30 or over to take part in New Horizon Club activities. For details on how to become a member, please contact our Service Coordinator, Sarah Meech, at sarah@southwiltsmencap.org.uk.
We meet on the first and third Friday of every month, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, at Stratford Sub Castle Social Club, Stratford Road, Salisbury, SP1 3JP.
Our calendar is packed with variety — from bowling evenings at Outburst and creative arts and crafts sessions, to preparing for seasonal celebrations such as Halloween and Christmas, community outings, and relaxed social gatherings. Every meet‑up is a chance to connect, have fun, and make memories.
Some special outings and visits may need prior booking but we will let you know, otherwise once you’re a member, you’re welcome to come along on the first and third Friday of every month. Just turn up, sign in, and enjoy your morning.Â
