Making opportunities possible through funding

Grants from South Wilts Mencap

At South Wilts Mencap, we’re here to support people with learning disabilities, their families and carers — helping to build a community where friendship, companionship and practical support go hand in hand.

Thanks to generous fundraising and donations, we’re able to offer financial help through our grants programme.

Breaking down barriers to outings

Out and About Grants (for PMLD)

We know that for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), getting out and about can be difficult — especially when the cost of carers or travel becomes a barrier.

Our Out and About grants help make those special outings possible. Whether it’s a day out , a swim at Five Rivers, or afternoon tea in town, or you may need transport to attend one of our events,  we want to help make it happen.

We offer financial support towards outings for one or two people aged 18+ with PMLD.
