Step into a leadership role that helps shape the future of South Wilts Mencap. As a trustee, you’ll champion inclusion, guide our strategy, and make a lasting difference for people with learning disabilities across South Wiltshire.
Joining our Board of Trustees gives you an opportunity to play a major role in making sure we offer people with learning and other disabilities greater choice and the very best opportunities in life.
Trustees are there to ensure we work in a way that reflects our vision, mission and values. And that we spend our funds in a cost-conscious way to achieve the best impact.
Our volunteer trustees are drawn from all walks of life, ages, backgrounds and professional experience but all of whom share a desire to make a positive difference to the Learning Disabled community of South Wiltshire. Some have direct involvement with and experience of Learning Disability. Others do not, but bring specific skills and provide a welcome objective viewpoint.
Collectively they form the Board of Trustees which ensures that the Society is run according to its charter and the guidelines set out by the Charities commission, and delivers the clubs, events, activities, and services needed to support and enable our community.
Our trustees bring diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives — all united by a commitment to inclusion. Together, they guide South Wilts Mencap and ensure we deliver the clubs, events, and services our community relies on.
