I have been the Operations Manager of ‘South wilts Mencap Breakaway Holidays’ since Jan 2022. I take adults with learning disabilities away on holidays and day trips. I really enjoy my job and love seeing the holidaymakers out of their daily routines enjoying themselves, having fun and trying new things with friends old and new. I am always looking for different holidays and places to go. For some it’s the only holiday they get in the year.

I have been working in the ‘Special needs’ sector for the past 24 years starting off with ABA training for Autism before going on to be a HLTA teaching in main stream then at a special needs school. I then went into supported living with adults with LD and care alongside. I am sporty and enjoy doing crafts so I encourage our daily trippers and holiday goers to do things that they’ve never done before.
